Rudy H. M. Duke

With more than 25 years in the management and technology consulting industry, Rudy Duke has worked closely with IT executives to facilitate business solutions by leveraging business strategy, business process innovation and the judicious use of leading edge Internet technologies.

Rudy launched Nextium Solutions, an e-Business consultancy, in 2001 to enable efficiency for small and medium sized enterprises as well as public and not-for-profit organizations.

Rudy held a position as Vice President at Align360. In this position, he was responsible for client engagements related to Business Process Reengineering and Customer Relationship Management. Rudy served as Practice Director of Employee Self Service at The Cedar Group, formerly known as The Hunter Group. In this position, he utilized his unique blend of business strategy and technology expertise to work with Human Resource Technology vendors including PeopleSoft, SAP, Lawson, Authoria, Workscape, and others to leverage e-Business strategies and web technologies. Rudy has been associated with many Enterprise Self Service innovations and best practices since 1997 and his consulting work with a diverse range of clients has been highlighted through countless speaking engagements and published articles. Rudy held management consulting positions at CSC Consulting and technology positions with General Motors/EDS.

Rudy received a BBA in Information Systems and an MBA in Operations Research from Howard University in Washington, DC.

Rudy has been an active leader in BDPA since he joined in 1991. He served as Washington DC Chapter President, successfully transforming the chapter into a member service oriented entity. In 1997, Rudy guided the reengineering of the National BDPA organization through an Enterprise Transformation Plan (ETP) that placed BDPA into its current structure. Rudy then served as National Vice President of Member Services. Rudy served as the Executive Director for the BDPA Education Technology Foundation (BETF) and is currently its Chief Information Officer.

Rudy was born in Georgetown, Guyana, South America and currently resides in Bowie, Maryland. He is married to his wife, Stacey, since 1985. They have three young adult daughters.
